Privacy Policy

Overview

TacoFindr (https://tacofindr.com) is a local directory of street taco stands, carts, and trucks in Los Angeles. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, how it's used, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We collect information in a few limited ways:

• Suggestions you submit. The "Suggest a Stand" form collects details you choose to provide about a stand (name, location, hours, etc.) and, optionally, your email address if you want us to follow up.
• Usage data. Like most websites, our hosting and analytics providers automatically log standard technical information (IP address, browser type, pages visited, approximate location derived from IP) to keep the site running and understand how it's used.
• Location, if you allow it. The "Near me" feature uses your browser's geolocation only if you grant permission, and only to sort results by distance in your browser — we don't store it.

Cookies and advertising

We use cookies to keep the site working properly and, where enabled, to serve advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.

Third-party services we use

• Supabase — stores listing and submission data in a hosted database.
• Vercel — hosts and serves the site.
• Google AdSense — may serve advertising on this site, subject to Google's own privacy policy.
• OpenStreetMap — provides the map tiles shown on browse and listing pages.

Each of these providers processes data under its own privacy policy; we encourage you to review theirs if you'd like more detail.

How we use information

We use the information above to operate and improve the directory, moderate and publish submitted listings, respond to inquiries, and (where enabled) support advertising that helps keep the site free to use.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
